Waukesha County Fair

Yes its that time of year already, the Waukesha County Fair starts today and runs thru Sunday on the Waukesha County Fairgrounds. (Sponsored by Aurora Health Care). Yes I have that memorized along with many other really facinating details of the Fair.

And again, I am in search of something unique and yummy at the Fair. In the gate handout that you receive upon entering the Fair, or find throughout the fairgrounds, a coupon for 50 cents off a Beer Battered Brat is trying to lure me in. Not sure if I'm going to be the first to try this, but I think I might be able to convince myself to have one by Sunday! Hey - there is a coupon on it and if they were willing to pay $$$ for the coupon space, I bet its worth it!

Catfish Johnny's will probably see my business for their catfish fries (I think that's what they are called) as well as Silver Spur for their amazing Chicken tenders with their secret Honey Mustard! I delivered cream puffs to the media for the last two days and surprisingly I never tempted myself into having one. I guess I never have been a cream puff fan and even having 50+ around me at one point didn't change the fact that its just a cream puff. Don't get me wrong, the media loved them and scarfed them down when we brought them, they just aren't for me. I might splurge for the 4-H ice cream cones. That will definitely cool me off.

But anyways, weather is looking great for the weekend and I hope you have a chance to stop out.

Thursday night - Herman's Hermits is on the Leinie Lodge stage at 7:30 pm & Demo Derby at 7 pm
Friday night - The Black Crowes perform on the Miller Light Main Stage at 8 pm
Saturday night - Gin Blossoms & Tonic co-headline the Miller Light Main Stage at 8 pm
Sunday night - REO Speedwagon perfom on the Miller Lite Main Stage at 6 pm

Of course there is always The Toys, Sweet Tarts and Left on Sunset to perform throughout the weekend in the Leinie Lodge. Check www.WaukeshaCountyFair.com for all the details. Hope to see you out there!
